Good place for Xbox One

    I have mine in a TV cabinet in shelves and leave it on 24/7

    Your xbox is fine, as long as it can get ventilation to the top is fine. The sides are fine aswell so nothing to worry about.

    The X1 is nothing like the 360 i dont think you will have to worry about it overheating unless you wrap it in a towel lol
