Having been absent for a long time, Microsoft has offered an update on where Fable Legends is, and why it's no longer part of the platform-holder's big winter line-up. The game had been slated for a tentative launch as part of 2015's big pre-Christmas releases, but it's not even in open beta yet.Apparently, Microsoft is looking to "expand" its Fable Legends closed beta, but it doesn't sound like Lionhead's free-to-play 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game will be materialising on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs (with cross-format play) anytime soon.“As a service-based title in closed beta, we’re always working to make sure that when we open ‘Fable Legends’ to everyone, that it’s a great gameplay experience,” a Microsoft rep told Game Informer. “We are continuing to expand our closed beta and will have more details to share in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!”Fable Legends pits four heroes against a single all-seeing villain who must set traps and rain down attacks on his foes.
