Next-gen console to launch after Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed, retail pair claim A pair of European retailers are listing the PS4 release date as November 13, 2013. As spotted by NeoGAF members, a Dutch Media Markt outlet is prominently advertising the console for release on Wednesday November 13 using in-store promotional displays, while Dutch online retailer Bol.com is carrying the same date. Bol also lists Xbox One for release on November 21. Media Markt is a German-owned chain of stores that claims to be Europe's largest retailer of consumer electronics, while Wikipedia says it's the second biggest in the world after American retailer Best Buy. On its website, the retailer has since changed its specified PS4 release date to a generic 'December 31' place holder. If true, the November 13 date would mean Sony could launch its console alongside next-gen versions of Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Call of Duty: Ghosts, which are all due to release on current-gen consoles during the weeks prior. We've contacted Sony Computer Entertainment for comment. Sony showed off the PS4 hardware for the first time during its E3 conference last week, when it confirmed a holiday 2013 PS4 release date in Europe and the US and a PS4 price of £349 / €399 / $399.
