Namco Bandai has revealed that more insect-squashing madness is console-bound next year, with Earth Defense Force 2025 under development at current Japanese EDF studio, Sandlot. Having been dormant for a while, the oversized insects return to Earth, sending the population into panic as a state of emergency is declared. With a host of EDF classes to choose from and more weapons in your arsenal than ever before, Earth Defense Force 2025 is set to be the biggest in the series yet. With the return of the ravagers also comes the first Earth Defense Force title to feature 4-player co-op on consoles, with "tons of missions" promised for the OTT action-shooter that sees you killing towering ants, spiders and so forth.
