Nintendo has officially announced its range of NFC figures, called Amiibo. Much like Skylanders and Disney Infinity, Amiibo are figurines of Nintendo characters that can be imported into the game. The first game to make use of Amiibo will be Super Smash Bros for Wii U, with players able to import characters and save their stats and fighting styles to their figures. Amiibo will also be compatible with Mario Kart 8 in the future, with Nintendo promising to reveal more information in the future. Source - E3
