A release date and full details are expected for DriveClub in "the weeks to come", according to an announcement on the racer's official Facebook page. Originally scheduled to launch exclusively alongside the PlayStation 4, DriveClub was delayed last October to an unspecified date in 2014. Now, following months of silence, Evolution Studios has promised a release date and full details will be announced in the weeks to come. Sony teased a release date for DriveClub in January, though no announcement eventuated. Later, the company broadened the racer's expected release date to "TBA 2014". In March it emerged that Evolution Studios had gone "back to the drawing board" on the social racer. "It all comes back to that fundamental principle, and that's that we want to build great games," software product development head for Sony Worldwide Studios America, Scott Rohde, said at the time. "And we really don't want to release a game before it's ready. And sometimes, this happens in the normal course of business, where we think we're on track to deliver what we think is going to be a great game, and when we get closer, we realize that we'd be doing everyone a disservice if we shipped it before it was ready." Meanwhile, concern regarding the progress of the title was sparked in March when DriveClub game director Col Rodgers quit Sony amid a restructuring operation at Evolution Studios.
