Just saw someone selling an Xbox One (Kinect version), never opened at all for £300 It was part of a phone contract and he just doesn't want the Xbox One. Think I should go for it?

Well with the new information you have provided for us.. I would say yes, go for it. It seems to be the best deal around in the UK area.
Personally, I wouldn't buy it atm. It'll be cheaper come Christmas this year, and it's bound to be better updated by then too.
True. It's just that I played the Destiny Beta and man, that was something I didn't wanna miss day 1 xD What do you mean by updated o: ?
Matter of fact, Microsoft lowered the xbox one price from $499.99 to $399.99 so in your dollar ( pounds ) your paying $500 U.S. Dollars which is equivalent to £300 of your dollars, which in my opinion is a bad deal, you may be able to find a cheaper one, but that's for you to decide.
Actually, not. There's a console - Kinect, but the Kinect + Console will remain at $500 Console Only via GameStop (new) http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-one/consoles/xbox-one-console-only/115018 Xbox One full via GameStop (new) http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-one/consoles/xbox-one/112422
Oh that's very true, I forgot all about the two different verisons, sorry that was my fault. So in not opinion it is a good deal, your just paying a couple dollars over which is no big deal, but your paying the same amount on Americans would pay for a xbox one.
You guys should stop comparing dollars and pounds it's completely pointless. In europe you either deal with Pounds or Euros and since the price is fixed and has nothing to do with converting from dollars. Everything will be more expensive around here if you convert to dollars so it's easy to yell it's a bad deal. The only way to tell if it's a bad deal or not is to look at the local market prices. Yes everything is Xbox related is cheaper in the US and that's just the way it is. It's nice to now you could have gotten it a lot cheaper in the US but that won't do us any good since they're region locked so MS is free to price them as they please.
I'm going to go off of the assumption that a pack of gum in the UK costs anywhere between 1.50 and 1.80 pounds, just as it does in the US, but with Dollars. If that assumption is correct, that means that you people in the UK are paying less of your money to get something that costs more of our money. If that's correct, then everything that you just said is wrong, and you should do your research. Also, how is everything cheaper in the US, when we have to spend more of out money to get the same thing that you get with less of your money?
A new game costs $60 in the US. From what I've seen, a game in the UK costs around 47 pounds. That's not equal. Besides, I'm not talking about Euros, where the exchange rate IS nearly equal. I'm talking about Pounds, where the US dollar is worth about half of what a British pound is. If you need more proof, click buy gold at the top of the page. The prices are listed in British pounds. Lifetime gold costs about 45 pounds. Change the prices to USD and it costs around 80 dollars. And I'm not converting. Look at the first sentence that I said.
Are you living under a rock or something, US dollar and Euro an almost equal exhange rate?!?! http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=100&From=USD&To=EUR Euro's are worth far more and have been like that for a long time now. The Xbox prices seem to be pretty equal in the UK though, I give you that however I have the pay with Euros in the rest of Europe. Games that cost 60 dollars will cost 60 Euros so there's no way i'm spending less of my money to get the same thing, unless I were to buy things directly from the US, that way i'm only spending 45 Euros of my money and guess what? That indeed makes the US cheaper.
