Finally got through analyzing this incredible YA book and I'm absolutely blown away by the deeper meanings throughout the book - the fall metaphors is incredibly meaningful and mirrors Autumn's emotional journey perfectly, while the symbolic tiara was devastating because it embodies her childhood dreams and the what might have if he had been with me explained with Finny, plus the way Laura Nowlin uses weather patterns to hint at the heartbreaking finale is brilliant writing that makes this from a typical YA novel into a profound exploration of timing and regret - has anyone else picked up on how the repeated symbols of circles throughout the story connect to the concept that we're trapped by our circumstances and are prisoners of the roads we choose?
