EA has announced that Visceral's Dead Space 3 is to feature Kinect voice commands, apparently making it the first co-op game to feature such functionality. You'll be able to use voice commands to help your co-op buddy according to the press release, which cites examples like "Find partner! Fire stasis! Attack Enemy!" as possible instructions you'll be able to bark at Kinect. Isn't that what a headset is for? "The voice commands in Dead Space 3 give players a unique way to take down the terror, whether they choose to face the Necromorphs alone in single-player, or alongside a friend with drop-in / drop-out co-op," said Executive Producer, Steve Papoutsis. "Dead Space 3 delivers the action-horror experience our fans have come to know and love. And with the ability to survive the adventure alone, with a friend, or with Kinect, we're excited about extending the spine-tingling Dead Space experience to a whole new audience of players." Alright then. Using Kinect voice commands will make it easier to give your co-op partner health or ammo, to find objectives and revive downed allies, the press release states, although we can't imagine it'll be too difficult without Kinect. Hmm... Dead Space 3 is out on February 5th, 2013. http://www.viddler.com/v/5f8900c6 Source - X360A
