CALL OF DUTY WW2 developer Sledgehammer is unhappy with the fact that the upcoming Zombies gameplay trailer has leaked early.

Call of Duty WW2 Zombies trailer has leaked ahead of this week's big reveal at San Diego Comic Con.

Sledgehammer Games had promised to unveil the first Call of Duty Zombies gameplay footage during the event on July 20.

But the trailer has leaked ahead of the event, and Sledgehammer Games is not happy.

The official Sledgehammer Twitter account told fans to hang on and wait for the full reveal.

"Leaks aren't ideal, but know that we appreciate the support," the tweet reads. "We're almost done with the Nazi Zombies Trailer. Hang tight, it'll be worth it!"

The views were echoed by Sledgehammer's Michael Condrey, who pleaded with fans not to watch the leaked footage.

"We’re working hard to finish the official Nazi Zombies trailer. Please respect the craft & avoid spoilers today, final trailer coming soon," he said.

Sledgehammer's Glenn Schofield said he was p***ed about the leak and told fans that the final trailer would be worth waiting for.

"Leaks suck, spoils it for everyone," he said. "Avoid the leaked trailer, wait a few more days for the real thing. It's worth it. #pissed"

This was followed by: "You spend almost three years on something & with 5 days until reveal some &$#%}!! leaks our trailer. Bummed, disappointed."

Sledgehammer had previously told fans that the new Zombies mode would be messy.

“They’re nasty. They’re vicious. They’re fascist,” the message reads.

“And this year, we’ll be revealing more about the backstory of this year’s Zombies co-op mode at Comic-Con on July 20.

“Our team has been cranking on this year’s Zombies and it’ll be more gruesome and terrifying than ever."

The development team has suggested that this year's Zombies mode will be scarier than previous entries.

It probably shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering Schofield and Condrey were responsible for games like Dead Space.

Call of Duty WW2 comes out November 3 on PS4, PC and Xbox One. The core game will take the franchise back to its World War II roots.

A lot of gameplay details have been announced for the solo campaign and multiplayer, but Comic-Con will be the place to be if you want to find out more on Zombies.
