Call of Duty: Black Ops will feature online multiplayer split-screen support, much like Bungie has provided since Halo 3. It had been speculated, but now it’s been confirmed by Treyarch’s Josh Olin. A post over on the US Playstation blog (yes, I know we’re an Xbox 360 site but both console versions of the game will include the same features) called “Little-Known Facts: Call of Duty: Black Ops Multiplayer” predictably tells us more about the multiplayer; including the split-screen feature. You can connect a second controller and bring a guest online (i.e. “Gamertag_11” & “Gamertag_11(1)”). Guests can rank up, earn unlocks, etc – all guest progress goes away once signed out. Also included are a custom game editor, an in-games friends list and regional match-making.
