I don't know much about ps3 modding as I've kept mine legit to play online , now that the console will be dying off if there are still working downgrade methods I would love to do it when my PS+ runs out this year. If this can do the same job, I would buy one in a second instead of an e3 flasher at triple the price.
Most of the downgrade methods you see have options for multiple flashers and BlackCatUSB, Teensy, E3 Flasher are the more popular ones. If you decide to do it before I get to it let me know and I'll help you find what you need. Hell you can even use a Infectus 2 to downgrade the PS3 if you have one or can find on cheap.
