Atari has revealed additional details about its new Ataribox console, including pricing information, a release window, and its upcoming crowdfunding campaign.

The Ataribox will launch in "late Spring 2018" for $250-$300 USD, Atari revealed in its latest newsletter (via Polygon). The company says it will be a Linux-based console that's a "full PC experience for the TV, bringing you streaming, applications, social, browsing, music, and more."

Atari's first console in 20 years will be powered by a custom AMD processor with Radeon graphics. Ataribox will support pre-loaded retro Atari games, as well as "current titles from a range of studios."

The newsletter also confirmed a previous report that the console will be crowdfunded; an Indiegogo campaign will kick off in the coming months.

The Ataribox was unveiled back at E3. In July, Atari revealed the first full images of the console and the first official details, which included HDMI output, 4 USB inputs, and an SD card slot.
