Guys, I'm looking to get Wireless 7.1 headphones for night time gaming. I've been looking at both Tritton Warhead & the new Turtle Beach 500X. The 500X can be head for $199 and looks like they fit the bill for absolutely everything I need. The Warhead can be had for around $125 - $150 on eBay ... and they look like they would suffice as well. I can't seem to find a good place online that compares the two head-to-head, cause Warhead came out some time back and 500X just came out. I'd rather not spend $199 when I can spend $120, but I wanted to see if someone here owns (or has owned) either of the two to get some feedback. I'm not interested in the Mic or Talking part of it; as I won't be using either as a headset - only for listening. Both have removable MIC's so that works. Feel free to advise. Thanks.
hi mick i can advise you as ive got both if your only going to be using a xbox one the steath 500 x are boss mate no wires great sound i own the tritton warheads sadly no chat on xbox one unless you use kinect my wife uses my trittons still on 360 also a great set that work on all with chat adapter or you can do a bluetooth mod are the tb xp500 and can be found dirt cheap now but for the xbox one i love my stealth 500 no wires rechargeable by usb i play a lot of clan stuff so chats a must for me good luck with it
Hey! Thanks for the response man. That's really cool you have both. I won't be using the Mic at all, won't be using it for chat or communication so that's not an issue. So let me ask you this ... just based on AUDIO and AUDIO performance, is there a difference? Is one better then the other? Or let me put it this way, just based on the Audio/Sound that both headphones produce, is the audio on 500X worth $50 more then Tritton? Thanks man!
It comes down to what console ure planing to use it on, x500 if ure not too fuss about wires as this is 100% wireless but the connection takes a little bit time to connect to the headset but if ure going on x360 off ten then I would say TB tango this is wireless too and with voice mod so u can sound like a monster or robot or even a kid. not too sure on the other one. Send from space...
The trittons have got the best sound but there really tight on your head as ive said if you want it for using on 360 and xbox one with no chat you cant fault them they have all got great sound the steath 500x are not as loud but i think there awesome also the xp500 maybe look at then there the same as tb tangos i think Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk 2
