So im gonna be getting a external hard drive. I have done my research and it just needs to be a fat32. But some people have said you can't do a 3tb or a 2tb only a 1tb will work. 1.) So will a 3tb work or will it not show up on my xbox? If not then can I do a 2tb? Or just 1tb? 2.) Do you just need to configure it to fat32 then just connect it to the xbox usb an is that it? 3.) Does it matter if the external hard drive is a usb 3.0 or does it have to be 2.0 Thanks and also anyone can answer but I would prefer if a RGH/Jtag Pro would answer since these are pretty expensive.
You can get a 3tb hard drive but it will only be able to convert up to a certain size of the memory for the xbox. Yes it has to be a fat32 and just connect it. If its 3.0 compatible awesome but if your xbox doesnt have a 3.0 port on it it'll still read it. It just means it wont run as fast as a 3.0 port will.
it will work fine, there is a tool you can buy that removes the x360 32gb torage size limit so you can use the whole hdd formatted as x360 storage on rgh/jtag.
I think I found it is it called FATXplorer Licensing? I found a topic on another website saying how to take off the 32gb limit does this program sound like the right one?
When I set mine up, I just bought a 1tb drive and put it inside the HDD case on the xbox 360 (phat). After the RGH was done, I booted into the regular (official) dashboard, and formatted the drive from there. Before the RGH, I formatted the drive on the computer first using fat32. I didn't use any special tools or anything. The Xbox saw it right away and formatted it just fine. Over 1tb though I'm not sure. You might be just fine. Or, you might need to partition it into 3 1tb partitions, or maybe you could just get 3 1tb drives (internal via HDD case, and 2 externals).
I believe it is called FatXplorer Licensing you can google it and find more info about it I think its the correct one because I found a topic on another website and it says how to remove the 32gb limit so it must be the right one but sadly you do have to pay a $30 fee to use it but ehhhh.
You can get it and download it. You get 7 days free and than after that you must pay. So there is a good possibility you can find one for free but either way $30 bucks isnt bad. Oh and its only good up to 2 TBs
I tried the cracked but the console patch thing doesn't work and I need it and located in the patches folder you can download more including 16547.
Yes its states on there website its only good up to 2 tb. Which not sure why you would need more than 2tb but if you really wanted to you could just buy 2 2tb HDD and than flash them both the xbox can read more than 1 HDD at a time. Just put one inside and use the other on a USB as an external.
3tb will only format out to 2.2TB with fat32. I would format it as HFS+ and use mac drive for windows to read it. the jtag / xbox360 will read the HFS+ and you can use the full drive size without a 4gb limit ... kudos , carry-on
