you need to edit the game filter, press in RS and choose amount of players on servers,game mode etc.then refresh and it will show ppl on servers

firstly your console aint ruined,as its booting without the HDD,so ignore the idiots who say it is. as others have stated it is just a problem...
you need to take the HDD out of the hdd casing and hook it up to your pc and sort the files out that way mate
