According to the trailer, players can look forward to immersing themselves in "the chaos of all-out war, in a series of unscripted controller-dropping moments".

The trailer also places a focus on the freedom to play your way in multiplayer, briefly discusses the Commander Mode and shows off the scale of the multiplayer's 10 maps.

Levolution, DICE's buzzword for terrain deformation, is also given some time in the spotlight, along with vehicle warfare and the new, improved Battlelog.

A Battlefield 4 open beta will commence October 1 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The game will release on these platforms on October 29, while Xbox One and PlayStation 4 editions will release on November 19 and November 29 respectively.

Early PS3 copies of Battlefield 4 will come with a download code that gives owners the ability to upgrade to the PS4 version for a small fee.
