This tutorial will guide you on how to install the new FSD 3.0 This tutorial will be based on a XBox with dashlaunch 3.02 installed and FSD already installed previously. First Step: Download and extract FSD .3.0 with winrar. http://www.mediafire...q1rk4e0e2wx9m34 FSD 3.0 http://www.win-rar.c...nload.html?&L=0 winrar http://www.flashfxp.com/download Flashfxp Install Winrar as normal. install FlashFxp as normal. or use whatever FTP app you like there are all somewhat the same. Double click the Freestyle3Rev58.TeamFSD archive you downloaded and it will open with winrar. Inside there we want to highlight the top archive named F3Rev58Release.7z and then Click "Extract to" For our guide we will extract to the desktop. Next we have to extract the F3Rev58Release archive that was in the original archive. This contains what we need for FSD 3.0 to work on the XBox360 Jtag/RGH/RGloader. Highlight and right click the archive and select "Extract to F3Rev58Release" Now you should have a folder named F3Rev58Release on your desktop. Lets rename that to "Freestsyledash 3.0" Next we are going to Boot up our XBOX 360 that is networked so we can transfer it to our HDD. Now you can do this 3 ways 1:FTP 2:XBOX neighborhood transfer 3:USB Transfer This guide will be using FTP Open up your FTP program and Enter in your Xbox IP username = xbox password = xbox I use FlashXP so i just hit F8 and it opens up Quick connect and enter in my info. Then hit connect. If all the settings are correct you will have two windows in the FTP app. One side your XBOX360 the other your PC. On the pc side we want to go to your desktop, on the Xbox360 side we want to go to hdd1 Now we have those open we can see whats on our desktop and our Xbox Hdd root. What we need to do is drag and drop the freestyledash 3.0 folder from the pc side to XBox 360 side On bottom left and right windows it will show the transfer going Now once that is complete we want to drag and drop the dashlaunch "launch.ini" from Xbox360 to PC desktop so we can edit it on PC. Now we want to open "launch.ini with notepad and we re going to edit the default launch path to our new Freestyledash 3.0 folder default.xex location like so Now before we save it and transfer it back to XBOX360 MAKE SURE IT IS SPELLED CORRECTLY If not FSD 3 will not boot as default dash, you will get black screen or it will go to retail dash. Once you are 110% sure it is correct click "File" then "Save" Now back to the FTP app to transfer it back to XBOX360 Once that is complete reboot your Xbox360 and ENJOY THE NEW FSD 3.0 ********************************************************************** Now you could always customize this to whatever FSD 3 folder name you like Example: Hdd:\FreeStyle\default.xex Hdd:\FSD 3\default.xex Hdd:\Apps\FSD 3\default.xex Our add it to whatever path you want if you like Xexmenu or retail dash as default. example [Paths] Default = Hdd:\Apps\Xexmenu\default.xex BUT_A = BUT_B = Hdd:\Apps\Dashlaunch 3.02\default.xex BUT_X = Hdd:\FreeStyle\default.xex BUT_Y = Start = Back = LBump = RThumb = LThumb = But the main thing is to make the launch.ini match the actual location on the xbox Hdd
Man loving fsd3 my question is does it start to initialize every time when it's loading like I notice fsd2.2 was instant on startup but this takes bit of time.
amazing tut, I noticed you have rgloader installed or you have the files in there at least. Does this work with a dev kernel? Because dashlaunch doesn't work with rgloader right? Thanks a lot, Extraginger
So I have a Question --- Do I need to DELETE the current FSD2.2 folder from my HDD1? Also, I have some plugins installed that are required by some trainers ... like the xbdm.xex that is required by the Raccoon City trainer .. do I have to get rid of those? Lastly, if things don't work out with FS3, how can I go back to FSD2.2? Just switch the launch in launch.ini? Thanks Guys!!
Question. Neither the xbox neighborhood nor the flash fxp can find my xbox. I have it set up for wireless and my pc can play windows media center on it so I am wondering what I am doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
It has to be a RGH/Jtag or Dev and u need to get the IP address for your console and setup Flashxp or Neighborhood
I have my IP, and both neighborhood and fxp, but neither work. I just installed fsd3 through a usb drive but I can not find the launch.ini file. I have xexmenu 1.1 so it could be in any folder.
ok for the noob in me where is that. When my xbox turns on it go straight to the standard xbox screen and I have to access xex through a quicklaunch app.
