    1. Connect the CK3 PMT Cable to your DVD drive Making sure you have it the right way around.

Connecting the PMT cable the wrong way around can damage your drive.

    2. Connect the other end of the PMT cable to your CK3.

    3. Connect your CK3 Probe to the Probe cable that is attached to the PMT cable.

    4. Connect the Molex power cable from your PC or from an external Molex power supply to your CK3.

    5. Connect the SATA cable from the DVD drive to your X360USB Pro.

    Lite-On Lite-On 02510C (74850C, 83850Cv1, 83850Cv2, 93450C) DG-16D2S
    CK3 + Probe and X360USB Pro

    Requirements To Flash LiteOn Drives.
    X360USB Pro
A DVD Drive Power source (I will be using the CK3 LITE)
CK3 Probe 3 or a Pogo Mo Thoin DIY Probe (PMT)
    JungleFlasher v0.1.91 Beta (300)
The latest X360USB PRO firmware (must be at least v18)
    Sata Cable
    USB Cable

The x360USB pro is not compolsary but does make connecting your drive easier
If you do not have an x360USB Pro you can connect your drive direct to a sata port on your PC.

The CK3 and probe however are a must have for LiteOn key extraction
you do not need the probe for flashing so if you already have your key
you can still update even without the CK3 and Probe.

    1. Select the "DVDKey 32" Tab

    2. Make sure the USB only check box is ticked and the I/O port is set to 0x000.

    3. In the Port Properties section The X360USB pro should be detected as Primary Master and the Firmware version will be displayed, It is best to be using the latest X360USB Pro firmware which is currently v1.8.

    4. Check that the "Dummy.bin only" box is ticked
The Dummy.bin will be the file that will contain all of the extracted information (key, inquiry, identify & serial).

    7. You will now get a pop up message saying
    [IMG]
do as the message says and click "yes", JF will begin the extraction process.

    8. Now press and hold the yellow power button This will cut the power to your drive
and you will notice that the light on your probe has now turned off
    [IMG]

    9. Whilst holding the power button take your CK3 Probe and press it firmly on the MPX01 point
    [IMG]

    10. Whilst still holding the probe on the MPX01 Release The Power button
the CK3 Probe light will come back on and you will now get another pop up saying
    [IMG]
    Do as the message says
    • Remove the probe from the MPX01
    • Power off the drive again using the yellow power button on the PMT cable
    • Hold the power button in for 5 seconds, then release to power back on
    • Now Press OK
    11. your DVD drives data will now been extracted, You will now be prompted to save the Dummy.bin
Create a folder on your desktop and save your dummy file there.
(The dummy file contains your DVD drive key so keep it safe!)
After Clicking save JF will change to the "Firmware 32" tab, auto-load your extracted data
(The Dummy.bin you saved with your DVD Key) into the source buffer.

    12. You will now be presented with this message
    [IMG]

    14. Click the "MTK Flash 32" tab
    15. Click the "Lite-On Erase" Button
    [IMG]

    16. You will now be presented with the following message
    [IMG]
If you are totally sure you wish to continue click "Yes"

    17. You will be presented with a second message that explains that the drive will be erased and when it sends an intro to the drive by continuing this will also put your drive into vendor mode.

when you are ready click "YES" and JF will begin erasing your drive and send the intro to put it into vendor mode.

    18. when the drive status is displayed as 0x90 press the yellow power button on your PMT cable for a second and then release, this will power cycle the drive.

The status will now change to 0x72 and your drive will switch to vendor mode
you are now ready to flash your new firmware.

    19. Click the "write" button and JF will begin writing the new FW to your drive.
Once JF has written the FW to the drive it will then verify the flash.

Congratulations you have just finished flashing your drive with LT+3.0

    Reading
    [IMG]

    5. Once JF has finished reading the drive it will open a window and ask you to save your Old FW
simply make a folder in a location of your choosing and save the Old FW there.

    6. Now JF will now automatically switch to the "Firmware Tool 32" Tab
You will notice it has auto loaded your old FW into the Source Buffer along with your DVD key
it will also ask if you wish to auto-load the Benq LT-Plus FW, Click "Yes".

    7. Once JF has finished loading LT+3.0 into the Target Buffer make sure to check that the DVD keys Match

    Hi.

I've had my drive flashed by somebody else a couple of times (currently on lt+ 2.0) but i'm going to have a go myself this time.

Your guide is very clear and well put together, but my problem is where to actually start from.

You assume that we already know how to extract old firmware and dvd key, and that is where i'm stuck. I do not know how to do this but my dvd key was given to me the first time I had my drive flashed (it is written in a .txt file).

None of the guides I've seen start from this point. They either start with .bin files or from the very beginning with the extraction of information from the drive using probes etc.

Would you be able to help me out with a short guide that shows how start the flashing process when all you have is the dvd key?

    Thanks ;)

Brilliant guide, considering you were drunk, lol.

I have a phat liteon 93450c, which is now 02510c following the dashboard update.

I haven't updated the dashboard to the very latest version yet as I know it's recommended to flash back to stock before doing this.

I'm assuming I'll be able to download stock firmware for my drive, correct me if i'm wrong.

    Thanks for the help ;)

I have finished the guide for benq and will be starting on the LiteOn tut shortly
you will need to flash to stock, update to the new dash then flash LT+3.0
You can download the latest LT+ fw pack from the first post which contains all stock FW needed for all drives

Check back in a while/tomorrow for the LiteOn tut
To extract your LiteOn key you will need a CK3 and CK3 probe
If you already have the key backup you will not need to worry about the probe :)

I have updated the LiteOn guide mate

and I have also added the guide in this post just for you :)
as you already have the key you will not need to use the probe as this is only needed for key extraction.

Ignore the numbers on the pictures as I pulled the pics from the main guide
you only need to follow the steps given and arrows on the pics

Remember to flash back to stock first and update if you are not on the latest dashbord and then flash to LT+3.0

Flashing LiteOn When you already have the DVD key
If you don't have a CK3 you can power your drive using the Xbox console for power
If you don't have an X360USB pro you can connect the sata cable to one on your PC

    1. Open JF go to the "Firmware Tool 32" tab

    2. Click open source FW and load your old FW/DVD key into the source buffer

    3. JF should ask if you wish to auto load the LT+ 3.0 FW

4.Click yes and JF should load LT+ 3.0 into the Target Buffer
Make sure your source DVD key matches the one in the target buffer
if they don't then click spoof source to target and this will copy your DVD key to the new FW
    [IMG]

    5. Click the MTK Flash tab
    6. Click the LiteOn erase button
    [IMG]

    7. you will get 2 warning messages simply explaining that JF is about to erase your drive and intro it into vendor mode, click yes to continue
    [IMG][IMG]

    8. when the drive status is displayed as 0x90 press the yellow power button on your PMT cable for a second and then release, this will power cycle the drive.

If your not using a CK3 with PMT cable you will need to pull the power cable from the drive at this point
and re-attach it within a few seconds in order to power cycle.

Dont rush when doing this as you do not want to damage the pins in the drives power port.

8.If done correctly the status will now change to 0x72 and your drive will switch to vendor mode
you are now ready to flash your new firmware.

    9. Click the "write" button and JF will begin writing the new FW to your drive.
Once JF has written the FW to the drive it will then verify the flash.

    10. Finally click the "Outro / ATA Reset" button, JF will now send the outro command to your drive and take it out of vendor mode.
Congratulations you have just finished flashing your drive with LT+3.0
    happy Gaming! :)

Thanks a lot for the guide Ccaveman84, very much appreciated :D

On point 2 where you say to 'click open source FW and load your old FW/DVD key into the source buffer' it looks as though you have loaded a .bin file. As I only have the dvd key written down in a .txt file is this the file I should load, or will I have to manually input this instead?

Nice OK in this case you will want to skip loading to the source buffer

instead click "open target" and load LT+3.0 for LiteOn (LTPlus-0251-v3.0.bin)

once you have loaded 3.0 into the target buffer click "manual spoofing" and you will be presented with this window
    [IMG]

Now click "load key.bin" and locate your key.bin and click "OK"

you should now have LT+3.0 for LiteOn in the target buffer with your key loaded and spoofed to the firmware

Now continue with the tutorial I gave you from step 5 and you should be all good
I hope this helps mate :)

Also I have noticed we have not seen anything in the forums from you
why not introoduce yourself in the intro section

I don't have a key.bin file, all i have is the dvd key written in a .txt file that I created.
