Xbox 360 Update 2.0.16747.0 Information LT3 XkEY

A new dashboard updated has started rolling out and the new dash number is 2.0.16747.0
So far little is known about the actual update however it is reportedly safe to update LT3 flashed drives and also xKey.

As always you should wait for the official word from c3eva before updating.

If you have updated to 2.0.16747.0 and have a flashed drive or xkey please post here with model type and results and i will update this thread.


Update: The update is mostly backend stuff, the only new feature is Start an Xbox video rental on Xbox 360 & pick it up on another platform.

We have also tested some units with xKey and those are confirmed to be working fine, more information here

Mines fine mate all the update did was to allow consoles the use of the new video rental system and a few back end fixes that's all the info I can find about it from major nelsons blog

The Xbox 360 will be receiving a new update “as early as tomorrow,” Microsoft’s Major Nelson confirmed on Twitter earlier tonight.

System owners will be able to start an Xbox Video rental on the console and then pick it up on another platform. Aside from that, the update is “mostly back end stuff”.

I can confirm no issues with update and xkey

 

I also confirm no issues with the update using a Xkey

 

Working fine on my drive, which is a Slim Philips-LiteOn 16D4S

 

Added to the OP, i think its certainly safe to say that updating will not affect your drive in anyway whatsoever.

one of my friends has downloaded it when i came out and he was banned today. hes got a chipped xbox. any suggestions why?

hi I updated to dashboard 2.0.16747.0 my xbox 360 is flashed with lt 3.0 I don't no what drive it is its a phat xbox date is 18-7-08 of consol since I updated on Saturday I cant play any backups whatsoever really need help thanx
