I was looking a buying a hdd to upgrade my live console and see that there is a 500gb security sector available for the WD5000BEVT and was curious as to how it safe and how the 500gb security sector was made since there is no official 500gb hdd? Does it allow the use of the ful 500gb or only 320gb of the drive?
i have been looking for a bigger hdd to. my plan was to get a 700gb hdd and partition it 50/50 and flash a 320gb to it on both patitions. so wen u put the hdd on the xbox u wud have two 320gb hdds in one. i have no idea if this will work till i get a spare hdd. if anyone has tried this hit me up with a reply

Has anyone seen the official 500gb security sector from the new 500gb drive? I'm not looking for the one that allows you to use a 500gb drive as a official 320gb drive.
sorry its a little late but to confirm this is not the 320gb hddss its the legit 500gb HDDSS.BIN which will give you around 460gb of storage space on your retail console hdd, i have used this myself View attachment 500gb.rar
UPDATE: IT'S WORKING PERFECT NOW, I FORGOT TO PUSH THE BUTTON ON THE DEMON TO BOOT IT WITH STOCK NAND. I tried this but it doesn't say Microsoft in the green bar like other WD drives that I have modded. The other drives that I have done all say Microsoft like this one.
