Twitch the gamers streaming site that focuses mainly on video game and tournaments and all round gamers culture to those who are truly into gaming and watch other play have announced and implemented a new feature to their website, you can buy the game you are watching from them and not only that the person streaming will get 5% of the sale value.

Those who stream and want this feature can opt into it by going into the settings tabs in their account profile and under the “monetization” tab you can enable revenue from game sales. This is another incentive to those who stream, many of whom became famous first from sites such as YouTube have moved onto Twitch.

This is a direct heads on at Steam and make the purchase seem more worthwhile Twitch throws in a few added extras such as ‘creates’ that give viewers emojis or chat badges.

With the introduction of Twitch selling games, and Xbox announcing a Netflix style access program it seems that all the game sellers will soon be moving to sub subscription based services, with this in mind the potential for streamers to make a recurring income monthly from every buyer of a game could be a reality in a short time.

The Netflix model for gaming is here, and could provide reoccurring revenue for streamers who buy games.
