If you are familiar with how to use FTP, that would be an easy way.

Open your favorite ftp client, connect to your xbox's ip using the username "xbox" and password "xbox" (without the quotes), then select the internal HDD or wherever you store programs and drag the installer folder there. Next, on the console, navigate to where you moved the installer folder and launch the default.xex which should either install or update the existing dashlaunch patches. Then reboot the console if it doesn't automatically and run the default.xex again to return to the dashlaunch interface.

    got a slight problem LOL
i can`t find my xbox at all whilst in dashlaunch????
yep tried the forced ip method - no dice.
tried pinging the ip - timeout all packets lost grrrr
had a snoop in my crappy home hub 3 and whilst in dashlaunch no physical connection to the xbox.
so i`ll assume it`s a dashlaunch setting BUT which one LOL

If the wireless route doesn't work for you, have you tried directly connecting a ethernet cable to the xbox from the computer? I would try letting the xbox automatically assign its own ip once connected to the computer and try the forced ip option then.
