The first The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt screenshots have appeared online (via AGB), and a short teaser released for the newly announced sequel . Officially unvieled yesterday via Game Informer's March cover feature, The Witcher 3 stars a tired Geralt, who "wants to set things right but can't put down his swords until his conscience allows - if it ever does". The game is powered by CD Projekt Red's new REDengine 3 technology, which will reportedly deliver an open world 30 times larger than The Witcher 2's, even larger than Skyrim's. Locations will stretch from "stormy islands to war-torn forests and a sprawling dark fantasy metropolis without a loading screen anywhere to be found". CD Projekt Red boss Adam Bedowski has confirmed that the studio plans to go out on a high by making Wild Hunt the final chapter in Geralt of Rivia's story. He said in a statement sent to CVG: "People may ask if this is really going to be the last Witcher game. Yes, it is. Why? Because we believe that we should end the series on a high note. "Technology has progressed to where we can finally tell the story the way we want, with the visuals we want, in the world we imagined. This will be the ultimate fantasy RPG experience, and while we're hardly out of stories to tell, we believe it's time for us to look to new worlds and new horizons to keep pushing the boundaries of what we can create." CD Projekt has said The Witcher 3 release date will fall in 2014. It will be available on PC and "all high-end platforms available." http://youtu.be/c2ou1rLU42c
