Sky rent there lines from BT and Sky need to pay a fee the only people that have there on lines are Virgin then BT. BT and Sky fiber optic is the same as the both go to 76mb becasue they use the same lines. where Virgin is up to 100mb because there line aren't owned by BT there owned by themselves. Also why do you think EE "plus net" and TALK TALK fiber optic is up to 76mb because there are BT line and the rent them from BT. the top 5 internet providers (ISP) 1st virgin 2nd BT 3rd 4th 5th is either SKY, EE, TALK TALK since there speed are the same (i currently have BT infinity 2 (speed up to 76mb and upload 20mb (and i am wireless and get around 40) and on sky,EE,TALK TALK ect the upload isn't the same as B.

Sky do not throttle speeds, my experience with Virgin included a lot of throttling so you could not get anywhere near the promised speeds I would say sky is better by miles.

I have 120mb internet with Virgin, and always get that speed, it never drops, maybe thats a bad experience on your part but they have been gold to me.

Plus Virgin 1TB internet comes out early 2014, and no other company will offer anywhere near that in the UK.
