i would like to get some info please

hi i am new to the whole jtag/rgh consoles and i really want to start doing stuff like that, i just cannot find much info on anything about it, like what is the best jtag or the other one.. if someone could take me under there wing here and help me out i would greatly appreciate it... i need the step by step from step one: where to buy a console that already has jtag and everything needed to do any kind of modding, challange lobbys ghost xp/level mods and all the other stuff in between.. and what can actually be done with one.. please help me out here come tax time i would like to go buy everything i need for this and hopefully get all the info i need as well.. sorry for the wall of words.
