Kazunori Yamauchi has announced Gran Turismo 6 is in development and will be releases this holiday season on PS3. A demo will be released in July to coincide with the launch of the new GT Academy season. Announced during the gameâ€™s 15th anniversary event, Yamauchi said the gameâ€™s engine has been â€œrenewed, weâ€™ll be cleaning it up, making it smoother for the future.â€ He noted the rendering engine specifically has been revamped. The Physics Engine is revamped, it contains a new suspension system, tire and aerodynamics modelling has been reworked as well. Silverstone Circuit will be just one of seven new locations in Gran Turismo 6, taking the total to 33, with 71 different layouts available, 19 of them brand new. There will also be regular additions of new tracks set to be made available online. The game will also contian 200 more cars than GT5, with 1200 available at release and more available after launch. It will have new tracks released every month as DLC.
