The world’s most annoying pixelated bird is back. Bay Tek Games has gained licensing for Flappy Bird and will be releasing it as an arcade game. The frustrating yet addictive title, created by Dong Nguyen, winged its way onto our mobile phones in May 2013. The game was a side-scroller with graphics that closely resembled those of Super Mario titles. Although it was rumoured to be bringing in some hefty figures from in-app ads and became the most downloaded free game on the App stores by the end of January 2014, Nguyen claimed he did not want the kind of attention he was receiving from Flappy Bird. Users complained about the game’s difficulty, and shortly after it was removed from all mobile stores. The title did get a sequel named Flappy Birds Family, which was a revised version of its predecessor featuring multi-player mode and new enemies.
