Does your Xbox Slim get hot fast?

I bought a new xbox slim and was wondering, does yours get hot pretty fast ?

Basically just above the fan, the rest of the console is normal. Just above the fan that is hot after 20-30 Mins from not even playing a game, just talking to friends.

(I also have no hard drive in, waiting upon an arrival of one, so I'm just using the internal storage).

 

Yeah, this is a known problem.

I think you should vacuum the air vents on it should do it some justice

 

I only bought it around 2 days ago, brand new ! I heard it's because they finally done something right by making the console pump out hot air instead of keep it inside like the Elite or something xD

 

They are going to get hot above the fan because It's pulling the heat from the heatsink..

 

Thanks Tool . I'm just getting paranoid as I bought it of an old friend, he said it was new and from the way it was sealed and packaged. I'd also say it's new, I'm just thinking (which I doubt) whether it's flashed, think anything could happen from trying a burnt game?

 

My slim used to do this alot before I sent it to addz to get flashed, If I remember he said something about taking the shroud of it.

Since I've had the xbox back which is now about 12 months never done it since.
