However, if you are one to receive a money boost from one of these people you can probably expect a money roll back, or no actions to be taken at all. If you have not done these money glitches but you did grind out on missions while that was possible, you risk no ban at all, so keep playing
If your caught by Rockstar then you get thrown in the cheaters pool for 30 days, i got 26 left for hosting but i did the Hosts File via Ethernet Cable no DNS changing
Same with me. However, there is an easy way to get out off the cheaters' pool via the tunables.json file

Nah you should be fine. The money and/or RP you earned may be reset, but a console ban or anything more severe than that you don't have to worry about.
If anyone could, help me reset my DNS for PS3 so that there aren't any more mods. I've found that hosting is a bad thing so I need to reset it.
I used DNS mods, and I got put in the cheater pool, so I got out of it with more DNS changes I have gotten these mods stuck on my Xbox though. I have tried everything. I'll just have to wait until it's all patched. Trust me, it gets annoying. -TT

Today I found out about "DNS Modding" so naturally I tried it out. I was having so much fun gaining these billions upon billions of dollars up until the point I got spammed by a few people on XBL asking for more and more money. Since they were not in my current session I turned them down. Then they said they would get me banned. I am used to this kinda off behavior and I never believe anything that these kind of people say, but it got me thinking. What are the consequences of using DNS Modding. I have given away at least 50 billion dollars today to various people. I have also accumulated a huge amount of RP. I was level 53 when I discovered this. I am now level 180. I doubt they will permanently ban me from their servers due to the fact that there are hundreds of other people doing this. What do you think are the possible consequences of this if Rockstar notice this change?
If they see anything out of the ordinary, such as level 53 to 180, they may reset you or suspend you from the servers for maximum of 30 days. That's a first offense. Now, if Microsoft catches you DNS modding, 9/10 out you're getting console banned.
Okay, just a question. I have been DNS modding for a little bit. Giving out tons of money. I understand rockstar can ban me. I don't care if they do. But if there is a chance I get console banned. Would my profile get banned to? Because I use my profile on my Xbox One and on my 360. If my 360 gets banned it's no big deal cause I have another one. I just want to know if my profile would get banned or not? Thank you.

From Rockstar's POV, you won't be banned or suspended. Just keep in mind regardless of your intentions, if M$ catches you changing your DNS, they will console ban you.
