I usually don't have trouble with these kinds of things, but I am having trouble getting this one to work. Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong. I have Gears Of War 3 on my RGH System on the hard drive. I don't have any TU's or DLC installed at all. I'm just playing the Offline Single Player Campaign and that's where I'd like God Mode to work. I downloaded the V3 from the mediafire link above, which gave me this file: "4D5308AB08468456" I did not rename or modify the file in any way. On my RGH Hard Drive, Inside "Content", I have the "0000000000000000" folder. In this folder, I created a new folder called "4D5308AB". Inside this folder, I copied the downloaded file "4D5308AB08468456". After placing this file, I launched the game and went into Single Player Campaign. None of the mods are working for me. Nothing happens when I click the relative buttons. The game works as usual - no changes or modifications. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
Thank you I love gears but since the TU I had no more mods. Now I can have a blast again. Whoop Whoop
Wait - so I have to run the downloaded file through WX360 first on my PC, then put it on my RGH system?
No XM360 I messed up was thinking of something else sorry. just run XM360 from xexmenu scan then unlock I am trying it out now.
Ok - Let me look into this and find out what I need to do. Thanks guys -- I never had to do this before so wasn't aware of how to make this work. Will write back once I'm heading somewhere.
Exact same result! Let me detail so you guys can catch what Im doing wrong. So I downloaded & installed XM360. Fired it up using XEXMenu. It picked up all my DLC, including "Gears Of War PlayMods V3" -- which I'm assuming is the downloaded mod from this thread. I "Unlocked" it using XM360 and everything looked good. Then I went back into Gears Of War 3 -- but the game is playing like usual. No mods are active. All buttons have default functionality. Is there anything that needs to be done within Gears Of War 3 to activate the mods? I don't have any TU's or DLC installed; do you *NEED* to have TU's/DLC installed? I have the mod in HDD:/Content/0000000000000000/4D5308AB/ folder. Is that correct? Can anyone see what we're doing wrong?
Nope! I don't know how other people got it to work -- I'm not sure what we're missing or doing differently. Fatpat666 will have to jump in and clarify.
Kings -- There's a couple of us who have not been able to get it to work. I had asked the OP to step in but haven't heard back from him. It's not working with or without latest TU at least for me and EvilEd. I'm not surprised it's not working for you.
Ok i saw no one really wanted to help me so i figured it out myself, Here is what i did to get everything working. FatPat666 tell's you to install it this way (INSTALLING FILE)(DLC) Install: 0000000000000000/4D5308AB/00020000 But that that for me is wrong. I Deleted all my Gears Of War 3 DLC etc, Then used my RGH online and download the Free GOW3 DLC to see where it would place it on my HDD and it did this Install: 0000000000000000/4D5308AB/00000002 Not this Install: 0000000000000000/4D5308AB/00020000 So even if you don't have one online try making a new Folder with a 2 at the end and putting all DLC in there and see if it works for you.
AH!! It looks like you may have solved this one. I'm at work right now but I'll give this a shot as soon as I can get to my console. If this worked for you this way, it's probably going to work on my end too -- but I'll confirm. Thanks a lot Kings --- I'm glad you jumped into this thread.
