Analysis of PS4 System Update Files by Developer SKFU Well known hacker and developer SKFU has got his hands on a PlayStation 4 Update file and examined it. The update could be found via Sony, since the posting on his blog Sony has removed the links from their public servers. The developer notes changes in the PUP files no longer is it the traditional PUPs we are used to but a container with multiple PUPs it appears. Also the developer notes the header size is fixed at 512 bytes, and can contain up to ten files.
