No Problem V1.9.2 1. Added a tool to enable adventure mode. (Works in Survival & Creative) It's also great for Redstone worlds, since Mobs don't spawn at all, even in creative. Run the Check for Updates.bat to update or download the zip.
Saw a post about this on 7sins and a quick google search lead me here, you sir, Rocky5, are a genius! Looking forward to tricking out my xbox 360 maps with your tool. I haven't read the last 2 pages of this thread yet, I will in a few moments, but with the xbox 360 compression .dll (which I have) what other tool / steps do I need to do to prep a map for use on the Xbox again after extraction/altering? If this has already been answered I'll edit this post to reflect where I found the answer. ty. Edit: okay so all up to date, so at this point no Xbox to PC, but being able to mod the xbox 360 saves is good enough for me!
Good work here rocky, i saw this thread several months ago when you were still trying to do it, and now you have it figured out and i can finally use my giant xbox build on my pc server
Nice work Rocky! Great extractor tool. I've been using your extractor and I've come up with an XBox to PC world converter that has fully converted two of my brother's XBox worlds into playable and MCEditable PC worlds. This is still in an early beta stage but I've created a SourceForge project for anyone here who is interested. The project includes source and the binaries you'll need to convert your own files (I can't guarantee this will work on your files though! It's only been tested on two worlds). This is Windows only at the moment, and requires .NET as there is a VB component. There are other issues that need to be addressed too (see the readme file). http://sourceforge.net/projects/xboxtopcminecraftconverter/files/?source=navbar
Amazing work. Used this right away to convert an XBOX world to PC, then mcedit to change to a resource file for import into a PC map. This essentially converts it to an unlimited size map with the Xbox imported portion in the center. Surprised this topic not lit up now that you've done this! Just a couple of issues, got several errors during the conversion and found that large square sections of the map didn't get converted at all (were blank). Also, all of the chests were empty. If I post some errors here would you consider taking a look at them?
I have tried running the tool as well and hd a few errors. After messing around with the batch file I was able to jsut convert the world manually. It Only seems to work with worlds created before the height limit change (as I expected). BNut with worlds that 'should' work it falls over at the last stage when converting to Anvil. I get this error. Have tried on a few worlds and all do the same. This is something I've been trying to do for so long and I am so close yet so far! Any advice at all?
See this topic for all details: http://www.xpgamesaves.com/topic/89168-working-xbox-360-to-pcanvil-converter/ THen i got a working method, but i'll leave the errors in this post too. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naZ5wseG5KE&feature=youtu.be I got it to sort of convert once, but then there's this error every other time: [INFO] Preparing level "world" [INFO] Converting map! I'll definitely look at those errors. Unfortunately I can't speak to issues in the Anvil conversion unless I can see your converted chunk files. If you upload your savegame.dat I'd be happy to step the program through a debugger and try to figure out where it's losing it. My guess, as some of you have found, is that the TileEntities block is where it's hitting trouble. Double chests have converted successfully in my worlds but it's possible that they're causing trouble in yours as that part of the conversion is a little bit questionable still. FYI, I'm using PC version 1.5.2 which probably explains incompatibility issues with 1.7. As for the build limit change, I am working on a newer version but this will require the program to output the world directly into Anvil format which is a little more difficult.
Any explanation as to what "Error 3" is (Extract Save Data.bat). It's instantly throwing this error as soon as I run the .bat file... Running on Windows 7 x64 Correction, nearly every .bat file is throwing me Error 3...
Not sure why that would be thrown with the extractor. Perhaps Rocky has some ideas. FYI just released v1.4, should fix some of the most major problems https://sourceforge.net/projects/xboxtopcminecraftconverter/files/v1.4.67.569/
mmmm, I can see the world in minecraft, or someone chunks, but not in mcedit. Why does this happen? The world converted with xbox to pc converter, obviously...
I'm sorry, how I can change biomes generated? I've converted and always remains the same biome, this isn't the same of my pc map, in the end, for example, there is snow in the desert :/
Hey?!?!? WHY IS MY 360 Total Security Alerting me this program has lots of malware and trojans inside that Zip-package???? Shows what that said about that package: Are you trying to infect us with malware/trojan or?
