Hereâ€™s the first gameplay trailer for Deep Silver and Yagerâ€™s upcoming Dead Island 2, featuring pre-alpha footage set in a bloody version of California.

Set several months following the events of the original title Dead Island 2 takes place in a Golden State which has been put under full quarantine by the United States military. The game promises to offer â€œseamless multiplayerâ€ for up to eight players to â€œco-operate, compete or simply coexist.â€

Dead Island 2 is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Gamescom attendees will be able to play the game at the Deep Silver booth, taking on a section that takes place under the Hollywood sign.
