There was a new system update earlier today ( 4th September ) taking the dash version to 16767 which doesn't seem to affect consoles with CFW or xKey, so it would appear that this update is safe with flashed consoles. This does mean offline files will no longer work though so expect services to be limited! The last update was 2.0.16756 and was released back in June also on the 4th and only affected entertainment apps and allowed them to be accessed without paying for an Xbox Live Gold membership. We can only assume its safe to update at this time as there have been no reports of any adverse affects, however update flashed consoles at your own risk! This post has been promoted to an article
Not sure why people still get scared about updating, Been no ban wave for 3 years and it seems M$ have give up. Don't get me wrong there is still a chance but i don't even flash back to stock anymore. Just wish dashlaunch would keep up todate
I'm sure we will see a 16756 dashlaunch soon now that there is a new update, I expect them to stay 1 update behind from now on to try to limit jtag stealth use.
Not everyone wants to risk updating without confirmation that its safe to do so, so reading other people have updated with no issues is a nice reassurance.
Said the same myself for years but seeing phats are so cheap i don't care anymore if it gets banned lol. Updated my slim dual nand aswell .................... again don't care lol But yeah always a chance of ban
I'm looking for help on this topic. I last updated my console (RGH) to allow me to play spiderman 2 and I know this newer update will allow me to play newer games. Only thing is I have no idea what to do. Someone helped me last time, by help I mean they did it for me using teamview. I'm just wondering if anyone on here has the time to help me out. Thanks
No problem as such just I am aware the update normally allows for new games to be played... I've not installed it and I dont know how. So wanted to ask before applying the update in the game folder and risking knackering the console
Your trying to play spiderman 2 right i assume you want to play spiderman on your jtag/rgh have you tried instead of updating using 360gamehack to patch the default.xex and deleting the $system update folder in the game ?
Hi all , i also updated my xbox slim and now i can't install games on my internal or external drive , it's stops on 48% and gives a error "dvd is scratched or something like this (the dvd new burned), i can play but i can't install games anymore on my hdd help pls
