Running from November 2 until January 3, the company says the Christmas holiday promotion will offer $50 off any Xbox One console or bundle at most major national retailers across the US including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Microsoft Store, Target, Toys 'R Us and Walmart.

Deals include the white Xbox One Sunset Overdrive bundle, which actually launches today for $349, and the Assassin's Creed Unity bundles with Kinect ($449) and without Kinect ($349), both available from November 2.

Launching on November 3, a Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Xbox One bundle will include a 1TB hard drive, a custom console and controller, plus a digital copy of the game for $449.

Microsoft corporate vice president Yusuf Mehdi said: "Fans don't have to wait for Black Friday this year to enjoy great savings on Xbox One. We're offering our sbest price yet, with unprecedented choices and value, so more people can play on Xbox One this holiday.

"We're gearing up for one of our biggest holidays ever and we are thrilled to offer fans up to $150 in savings on Xbox One and some of the biggest blockbuster games of the season."

Asked if any similar Xbox One price promotions are planned for the UK, a Microsoft spokesperson told CVG on Monday: "Decisions about promotional and pricing strategies are made at a local level and based on market context. We have nothing more to announce at this time."
