A hacking group called "Lizard Squad" Shut down Xbox Live on Monday. They Said that is just a little of what they plan on doing Christmas. (Lizard Squad was the group that took down PlayStation Network a few months ago) Lizard Squad uses "Ddos" attacks (Distributed Denial Of Service Attack) to take down Websites, Servers, ect. They basically send a bunch of HTTP request or pings to a server that cause the server to overload making it inaccessible.

Why they would warn a company with billions of dollars there servers will be attacked on Christmas I don't know... they have billions of dollars, billions upon billions of dollars to spend to protect Xbox Live lol... why say you're going too just gives Microsoft time to prepare, thus making them fail, thus making them look like a bunch of idiots.
Completely agree with this. I mean, since Microsoft now knows of the threats of attacks going to be sent they will probably be upping their security and ready for it. Not matter how good the LizardSquad team is at what they do there's always someone better and Microsoft has more than enough money to get that person to help them.
Yeah, if you weren't online on Monday, all it did was wiped all activity of friends, resents etc. But you were still able to join online games, also parties were off. But the warning Microsoft is the dumbest thing they can do, Microsoft is a billion dollar company, They'll just bump there security

First off, the name of there "team" makes me barf inside. I mean it sounds like they all are a group of 12 year olds looking for attention and or just think there cool. I wouldn't be surprised if I find it on the News that they have been found and sentenced to jail like every other person that has tried to do this has happened to. I don't understand where they came from or why but, what is there purpose? I think it's just another group of people trying to prove that they can hit off a big company only to find there dumbness in jail. Also not sure what hitting off the servers for 5 mins will do? I highly doubt they could ever have enough power to knock them down for longer then 10 mins. Xbox is constantly working and i'm sure when the attack happens they have people working to backdoor them and clean out the power and force there getting on there server. None-the-less there annoying, not powerful, or funny, just annoying.
Well I wouldn't say impressive because I still want to play me some Xbox but, if they want to go hit down a government site and get arrested quicker, then i'm fine with that.
They are terrible, and dumb. There's TONS of videos on YouTube where popular YouTubers (such as DramaAlert) get interviews with LizardSquad members. You would think they would change their voice, right? Wrong. The guys talk over the mics in their normal voices that I would be any government agency could match to someone's identity. Also, one of their confirmed members has a ton of selfies on his Twitter page. Real smart hackers they are.
That's just being selfish, think of all the other gamers who've just started and now can't play cause of these idiot's actions. I hope they find these guys and send them to jail!
Lol, 8 year old waking up and find a Xbone for a x-mas gift and tries to go online but its down. As long as they don't touch Steam I won't have to kill anybody myself.
