just bought a slim guy i had it from said it wont eject got it back home and it will randomly power on spin etc then it will behave as if theres no power at all so tried it in jungleflasher not detected i tried both usb and 12v adaper to power the drive still not detected i then tried an older phat drive in the slim and it ejects fine this drive and pcb have never been messed with at all no flashing attempts nothing it just seems like the pcb is lifeless anyone have any ideas .. forgot to add with original drive in the rf just blinks like theres nothing there .
You checked for failed Kamikaze? Edit: Nevermind, re-read it lol never been messed with. Look at the PCB closely, check for any damage/missing components like capacitors etc.
Could be fried, things such as putting the power cable in upside down can fry the PCB. If he has the original FW just switch out the PCB for a new one
no i dont think hes opened it at all when i got it back i opened it then it ejected snd span a dvd now there is no power at all ive just put it back in the console rf has stopped blinking but no eject laser movement etc .
ive given up gotta be a faulty pcb all other avenues have been exhausted the slim is no good to me without being able to retrive the key from it console has now been sold as spares so this topic can now be closed .
