Description: This error can be triggered by a faulty power supply or a short in the console.The short is located near one of the main supply lines, so not under the chips, it might also be a blown capacitor fuse or just a bridged contact. ___________________________________________________ 1 RLOD Error codes E-Code / Secondary Error code: E64 / 1000 Binary/Hex: 01000000 / 0x40 -> 64 Known fixes: 1) Check the DVD power and SATA cable for damages and replace them if necessary. 2) If you have soldered a modchip to the drive recently make sure it is sinstalled properly otherwise the flash chip isnt powered. 3) The flash chip must be desoldered and reflashed with an external programmer, recover the dvd-key if you can (unless you have a backup)... Description: This error occurs if something goes wrong while flashing the drive or installing a modchip.A sign for it is that the dvd-drive doesnt eject the tray anymore. DVD drive timed out during reset. It can also be caused by a faulty DVD power or SATA cables(edsondario & Fios89) _________________________________________________ E-Code / Secondary Error code: E65 / 1001 Binary/Hex: 01000001 / 0x41 -> 65 Known fixes: 1)If you have soldered a modchip to the drive recently make sure it is installed properly otherwise the flash chip isnt powered. 2) Try to reflash the correct firmware to the drive using your computer. 3) The flash chip must be desoldered and reflashed with an external programmer, recover the dvd-key if you can (unless you have a backup)... Description: This error occurs if something goes wrong while flashing the drive or installing a modchip.A sign for it is that the dvd-drive can still be flashed and read out. Description: This error is related to a loose pin or a not existent NAND chip, can also happen if you flashed it badly with an Infectus chip and/or the NAND is dead.... According to XBH: Error within Xam ___________________________________________________ E-Code / Secondary Error code: E73 / 1021 Binary/Hex: 01001001 / 0x49 -> 73 Known fixes: 1) Southbridge X-Clamp-Fix 2) Reflow the Southbridge/Ethernet chip area 3) Check the area under the Southbridge for parts that might have fallen off and solder them back on. 4) In rare cases it can also be GPU related so an X-Clamp Fix might work as well (bigart666) Description: This error is caused by a cold solder joint under the Southbridge or the ethernet chip.In rare cases it can also be triggered by a cold joint under the GPU on one of the lines that run to the Southbridge chip. And missing parts(caps, resistors...) under the Southbridge can trigger this error as well. ____________________________________________________ E-Code / Secondary Error code: E74 / 1022 Binary/Hex: 01001010 / 0x4A -> 74 Known fixes: 1)If you soldered anything to the mainboard before it occured, whatever you are powering from this point is drawing too much power so get rid of it.Also get rid of everything that you can see that might bridge anything near the GPU. 2) X-Clamp replacement Hybrid - Tighten the GPU screws facing the HANA chip slightly more and make sure to be using a shim 2) X-Clamp replacement Hybrid - Tighten the GPU screws facing the HANA chip slightly more and make sure to be using a shim. Adding an extra shim on each side of the smaller chip dye will help to create more surface against the heatsink and will increase the chances of the error going away for good. 3) If there is a lot of flexing under the GPU, bake the board to unflex it 4) Reflowing GPU and HANA chip Related Errors: 0022 Description: This error is caused by a cold solder joint under the GPU, (H)ANA-chip or in between. Mostly it is one of the outer solder ***** on the side facing the (H)ANA chip so a shim increases the chanced of success quite a bit. Can also be a component that is missing or damaged so look for missing parts near the GPU and the (H)ANA chip. ____________________________________________________ E-Code / Secondary Error code: E75 / 1023 Binary/Hex: 01001011 / 0x4B -> 75 Known fixes: 1) Connect the DVD-drive and check if the error code is still the same... 2) Remove everything you might have soldered to this area. 3) Reflow the Southbridge and Networkchip ... 4) Replace the Networkchip Description: This error is related to the network chip, might be power related or so.This can happen while installing and NME 2. In general it sounds like a cold solder joint somewhere there.However it can also be a Hitachi DVD-drive that is not connected... Description: This error is caused by a dead network chip.This can happen when a lightning hits your house and the network chip is under high voltage. Especially the diodes they MUST face the correct direction - Away from J2D2. Description: This error occurs when your harddrive is defective, it might still work sometimes.... There is also a small chance that it is a cold joint under the Southbridge causing problems with the I/O of the HDD. It can also be related to wiring the diodes while JTAGGING. Couldn't start xam.xex _____________________________________________________ E-Code / Secondary Error code: E80 / 1100 Binary/Hex: 01010000 / 0x50 -> 80 Known fixes: 1) Downgrade to the old dashboard, solder the resistor back on and then update your xbox. 2) If you have the CPU Key, get the current NAND Flash image and fix the LDV (Just add 1 up to latest kernel). Description: Wrong LDV version in NAND Flash. This can be the result of improper thermal compound usage or if the error comes up instantly while booting the console, the heatsink will likely not be making any contact at all with the chip. This can be the result of improper thermal compound usage or if the error comes up instantly while booting the console, the heatsink will likely not be making any contact at all with the chip. _____________________________________________________ E-Code / Secondary Error code: E07 (No Audio/Video) / 0013 Binary/Hex: 00000111 / 0x07 -> 7 Known fixes: 1) Putting the faulty RAM brick under pressure with a 3mm thick craft foam pad. 2) Reflow the RAM chips - Oven Reflow preferably for the bottom RAM - Reflow the 2 ram bricks under the GPU heatsink 99% of the time its these that are causing the error.(DCP) 3) Hybrid X-Clamp Fix Description: In 99% of the cases it is a cold solder joint under one of the RAM bricks though. It is also said to be an indicator for RAM overheating but this is extremely rare _____________________________________________________ 3 RLOD Error codes E-Code / Secondary Error code: E00 (No Audio/Video) / 0000 Binary/Hex: 00000000 / 0x00 -> 0 Known fixes: 1) Blow the dust away under the Southbridge and HANA chip 2) Reflow the Southbridge 3) X-Clamp replacement Description: The Xbox doesnt know whats wrong it freezes after showing the first digit(0) of the error code.Might be a cold solder joint somewhere under the GPU as someone fixed it with the X-Clamp replacement, might also be scaler or Southbridge related since this is where the error code is calculated... Description: There is a problem with the Southbridge Chip usually dealing with how it connects to the mainboard (cold solder joint/bridged solder joints)(Taken from Xbox-Scene) _____________________________________________________ E-Code / Secondary Error code: E08 (No Audio/Video) / 0020 Binary/Hex: 00001000 / 0x08 -> 8 Known fixes: 1)If you worked on the mainboard recently(soldered or so) remove these wires because you might be drawing too much power from the GPU Also look for missing/bridged components like capacitors/resistors 2) If you jtagged the console remove wires and resistors, the parallel port can stay as long as no PC is connected. 3) X-Clamp replacement 4) Flush with alcohol, let dry, begin Relow with flux like below 5) Reflow GPU (and RAM if this fails) area 6) Reball the GPU and RAM, for bridged solder Description: This error is caused by a bridged solder joint under CPU, GPU or one of the RAM bricks. This effect can also be caused by tin whiskers leading to shorts and if the GPU was taken off the mainboard this error will also show up. It can also be power related(the CPU/GPU or RAM isnt getting enough power). Can also be a component that is missing or damaged so look for missing and bridged parts near the GPU. If the console was jtagged and the resistors and cables are still connected it will show 0020, the parallel port can stay as long as no PC is connected. _____________________________________________________ E-Code / Secondary Error code: E09 (No Audio/Video) / 0021 Binary/Hex: 00001001 / 0x09 -> 9 Known fixes: 1)If you worked on the mainboard recently(soldered or so) remove these wires because you might be drawing too much power from the Southbridge Also look for missing/bridged components like capacitors/resistors 2) X-Clamp replacement 3) Southbridge X-Clamp-Fix 4) Reflow the Southbridge/Ethernet chip area 5) Reball the Southbridge - bridged solder 6) if you work in dumping lite-on 8xxxx and 9xxxx with jumper, Check your dvd drive pcb (board) again, if there's still some shorting. Related Errors: 1021 Description: This error is caused by a bridged solder joint under GPU or Southbridge. It can also be power related(the Southbridge isnt getting enough power). Can also be a component that is missing or damaged so look for missing and bridged parts(caps etc) near the Southbridge _____________________________________________________ E-Code / Secondary Error code: E10 (No Audio/Video) / 0022 Binary/Hex: 00001010 / 0x0A -> 10 Known fixes: 1)If you soldered anything to the mainboard before it occured, whatever you are powering from this point is drawing too much power so get rid of it.Also get rid of everything that you can see that might bridge anything near the GPU. 2) X-Clamp replacement 3) Reflow GPU and HANA chip 4) If it\'s not the GPU/(H)ANA, it might in rare cases be the CPU and can be fixed by reflowing the CPU. 5) if you flash with xell on JTAG-fixed xbox360 this will appear, flash back to original. 6) also can be caused by a broken trace (see link below). Description: This error is caused by a bridged/shorting solder joint under the GPU, (H)ANA-chip or in between.It can also be power related though, for example if you are drawing power from one of the regulators that power the GPU and HANA-chip.Can also be a component that is missing or damaged so look for missing parts near the GPU and the HANA chip. In extremely rare cases it might also be related to the lines that lead from HANA to the CPU. The chances are however higher that it is the GPU than the HANA chip so you should always first concentrate on the GPU. Another cause could be due to a broken trace under the board near one of the ram blocks, check the picture in the reference section. Short in the dvd drive cord or the cord is in backwards. 6) un-bridged U6T1 or U6T2 (point that protect cpu-fuse) Description: This error is caused by a faulty/cracked RAM brick, however it can also be caused when the heatsink is shorting out a resistor or like a bad solder joint under the GPU?, check out the links in the references... Also caused by the Southbridge if not properly soldered to motherboard or if it experiences a power short.
