We could be getting a bunch of Windows apps on Xbox One in an update later this year, or we could be getting cross-platform games playable on any Microsoft device. Or maybe both.

Obviously, this wouldn't be quite as simple as it sounds - a user interface that has the room to spread out on Xbox might look terrible on a phone, and developers would, we assume, need to treat this like any cross-platform port - but just the concept of being able to access Xbox One games on a PC or a phone is pretty exciting.

The conference begins at 9am PT, which is 5pm GMT, and can be watched live here.

There will also be highlights on Twitter from Major Nelson (@majornelson) as well as the hashtag #Windows10, but good luck to any brave souls who attempt to get useful information from the Twitter hordes.
