2014 has been an amazing year for us here at XPG and we have big plans for 2015. As well as a new forum software update in the pipeline that will bring some amazing new features and make the forums even easier to navigate, sign in and post as well as add media and uploads via drag and drop. Along with the new software will come a new look for the site with a new homepage. We ( the Admins and Staff) can come up with ideas all day long, but if they are not what you want, there is little point, so we are giving you the opportunity to tell us what you would most like to see either added as a feature or maybe you would like an existing feature changed or removed? Whatever feedback you have , it will be taken on board and implemented either on or before our next major update of XPG. So please take this chance to have your say and leave some feedback below. I feel that the site needs a new design, keeping the site fresh and something that can bring an eye catching attention to future gamers to this amazing site. I'd love to help with it in anyway needed. But that's just my opinion. Other than that, the site runs smooth and is always online. This has been! My first year on XPG and I've experienced stuff that I wouldn't of ever achieved on other sites! I can't wait for 2015!
I think a Theme change every now and again would be good like what TheSilas said, Maybe go with the big games when they're released I think you talked about awhile ago. Since we have MotM, VotW maybe do some more community events like 'Sig of the Week' 'Mod of the Week' (Game not Staff) and instead of having a forum for MotM include them all and name it 'Community Events' It might help push the GFX section and get more modders on site as you could always add a incentive of some kind. Iv been a part of the community since 2012 and iv seen many changes to the site, improvements and many more. Up to this current point now there has been without a doubt nothing that I my self dislike about the changes and improvements towards XPG, if anything XPG has become more active and a big increase in members through out the time period iv been around and that's because you the STAFF keep XPG looking good, for example the themes that's changed through out XPGS time, the design of the badges have changed and also the forums are mostly and always kept up to date and cleaned by the STAFF. XPG has most of the things people need either here for the community or people who search the internet for things they are looking for. The STAFF do a good job of making XPG look attractive and bright because there are many people who have searched for something and landed on XPG and become a fellow member of the community but without XPG looking attractive out there then members would search else where so I do think all the past and current XPG themes are great so well done to the creators who put their time and effort into making top themes. To do with the current members of XPG, the community is a great place to be for everyone and for all ages from old to young. Everyone treats each other with respect and if they act out their place then they do get a slap on the wrist but the STAFF have done great to bring in such a calm and nice bunch of the community. No matter what the problem is their is always at least one person of the community they can help with a different range of problems for each and every member. You see help topics from Jtag support and from PC support but each and every member has the time and patient to help the community out with is great. The main reason why people hang around is because of the community as a whole bringing in the new not treating them as a newbie but treating them as a normal member of XPG. When the users award system was brought in I though it was great because it motivated people to achieve different goals through out the awards from getting a certain amount of posts to getting user badges. For me this is something that was good because it does motivate the members to get more active and around XPG achieving different awards. When the system was first brought in where you had to post on certain topics to see the content I thought I preferred it before that was introduced but then after a while it was handy because people cant just come and take links and all that lot and use it as their own content but most of all it allows them to make an account and roam around the community and because an active member of XPG. An idea that has been brought up by Rocky above which would be great and push people to achieve is for example 'Sig of the Week' or 'Sig of the Month' I think this would introduce more members to show off their GFX skills around the community and maybe introduce an award for achieving this.
Hello I think XPG should Introduce a system where you need to have so many posts before you can download stuff to stop the 1 hit wounders just posting to get a download also a point system where you can trade in your points for things like 1 day of XPG gold custom text in a blanklime the black badge with custom text inside it within reason and so on make it so you only get a point per 10 rep you gain and you gain a point for every award you get like video of the week helper and so on it would inspire more people to be willing to help other people out
I think that is a great idea mate, giving back to the community and the more you help the more you receive, whether or not we will be able to implicate such a system is unknown at this point but its one thing i can see will definitely get a mention between staff Thank you for your input
The only thing is about having so many posts before being allowed to download is that it would introduce spam to gain the certain amount of posts. Also about the Gold, I couldn't see that happening as it may pull people away from buying Gold Membership and just earning points to gain free access but ideas are ideas so post whatever and any ideas you have thats just me as a member what I think
How about when buying membership here on XPGamesaves, we give them a more customization based look. Something that makes you proud of being a member here. Like colored text, something that's not connected to STAFF colors but something in those lines.
Nice idea but i think we already use all the colors of the rainbow between all the different member groups, we did have a custom name style at one point and it would only show in the actual forums pages and not in the posts/shoutbox etc, can probably be implimented again if enough people are interested
Some more ideas like if some one does so meny compiatoins a month they should get a badge for it a bit like how the hoster badge works if you stop hosting the giveaways after so long you lose the badge and can regain it agen when you start hosting the compiatoins agen and do some monthly xpg compiatoins where you can win a badge for 1 month for winning like a gaming event for each console (Xbox360/ps3/Xbox one/ps4/Wii u) and there can be a winner per console you start a topic at the start of the month and let everyone vote on a game to do the comp on at the end of the month that would be a nice thing to see come to XPG as it Would bring more people togeather and so on
After being on many xbox modding sites i find most flame new members asking for help with learning how to make trainers or RTE tools. I think it would be a good idea each month to have a Modders learning night. Night where all members can join in with the big boys of the site. Ask questions, Get help with there tools or even just basic learning to code. I myself would like to join and learn more but feel like a noob when asking in forum and most of the time you don't get reply back. I think everyone should share there knowledge and it should be free but also would help get members more active. Again just a idea
just would like to say guys and gals its been a great time here and tbh i wouldnt change what isnt broken but its that time of year would love to see a crimbo skin for the site apart from that everythings good here ohh and the add down bottom right with recommended for you it pops out when i try to finish a post lol merry christmas to all the new peeps ive met here due to this awesome website
I'd like to see this guy, [member=Timmeh] as the supreme overlord of XPG one day. Spoiler in all seriousness though if I do think of something that hasn't been suggested already I'll definitely post here
