What is up XPG, this is a topic to sort of show you what these are and what they can potentially do to your PC's. We will be covering, Viruses, and Trojans. Most of you most likely browse pr0n and we all know mistakes happen downloading files. Viruses are the most common you will run into now a days, while most anti-viruses do a darn fine job of keeping things neat and clean on your PC, occasionally these little buggers make there way through and can cause quite the issue. If your PC begins acting strange? Google it, 9 times out of 10 that virus has already been fixed by some program online. What a virus is and what it does is, it is basically a program wrote by a user and all it does is replicate itself over and over into certain files and sometimes causing CPU usage to sky rocket. You will notice your PC is moving slower than usual, sometimes files won't open and pop up weird error messages. Luckily for the average PC user, there is several safety methods you can use, Google Chrome, Firefox, both of these have built in anti-virus scanners that scan files as they download, this protects you from opening them and letting them burst open. Microsoft also offers a free anti-virus that I personally use and it does a good job in my opinion, however you can check here at the top rated ones for Windows: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2372364,00.asp. Trojans, these are probably the most scariest ones to obtain, if a user knew what they were doing when creating it, this could have some dangerous consequences and costly. Trojans are usually hidden or packed in an executable and once you run that executable, if it gets by your anti-virus, consider yourself in a world of hurt. Trojans are much like an untreated cut on your arm, if not taken care of ASAP it can get worst. Here is the beauty of Trojans, they are usually given a nickname by the person who created it thus making it pretty easy to search on Google for a fix. Again, 9 times out of 10, that trojan has been fixed by another user, you just need to Google search the symptoms. What is a trojan and what can it do? Unlike a virus, these are not self-replicating, however they don't need to be, it only takes one to cause a mess. A user-created trojan can easily gain access to your PC, via Remotely. They can simply go in and do what they like, watch you on your web cam, listen to you on a microphone you may have, steal personal information. This is something you don't want too have! If you come in contact, Google away, if that doesn't fix it, bring it into a PC repair shop or post it here, I can usually figure it out, working around PC's all day, I have ran into some nasty ones. Again, if you need any help with any of these I am more than willing to assist! -XPGIamcoolz BE CAREFUL DOWNLOADING TORRENTS.
nice post but if u had a virus n didnt want to take to a shop just use the backup pre installed if you have a laptop chances are thats alll there gonna do anyways n they ill charge you for it cos its easy money
By default, sometimes an installation won't enable backups. I know my version of Windows 7 did not come pre-enabled, and I would say most people don't know how to even turn it on lol.
Very helpful to the community. I remember when I was testing bypasses then poof oh look a rat. wasn't pretty fixed though hopefully you guys take the steps to avoid things like that from happening.
Cheers for this mate, Even though I know heaps on this type of stuff, it sure will help the people who are less knowledgeable on this issue. Best solution is to always update your security systems, like MalwareBytes, Norton etc. And to do PC Check's ever week if needed. Better to be safe than sorry guys
Very well written and information-full tutorial, good one. I personally use Malwarebytes and Avast running together, works like a charm.
