I am using windows XP and had the error codes, but now I have got it working.
Make sure:

1. All the file are in one folder (create a new one, move the editor and the 4 dll files there)
   Don't know if it makes a difference but I opened the dll files with the save editor
   
2. Using horizon, or whatever you use, You extract the WHOLE save file, not just the contents

i forgot about the dll files lol prob because i done it correct first time my errors were for adding too many items this game is great might even get it for the ps4 now but well done xbox on the freebie

 

Yay finnaly ive finished the game now time for some mods
