Twitch has announced a new service, music.twitch.tv. that will open up a library of free-to-use music. Twitch broadcasters will be able to use this cleared music for both live content and associated archived video. Twitch is also experimenting with the music content creators with their new beta Music category. Twitch broadcasters can soon view the full list of labels and songs cleared for use, by visiting the Twitch Music Library. Now, audio copyright holders and Twitch broadcasters will be protected, rather than being flagged for the use of unauthorized use of music, due to copyright concerns. More than five hundred songs are available in the Twitch Music Library and are provided by labels such as Mad Decent, Dim Mak, Spinnin Records, OWSLA, Monstercat, Fools Gold, and more. Of course, as more partners become part of the system,Twitch will be continually adding to this library.
