While many Star Wars fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Star Wars: Battlefront, footage has emerged of the cancelled Star Wars Battlefront 3, which showcases what it might have been like. One of the most notable differences is that Star Wars Battlefront 3 featured impressive ground-to-space technology. Players might begin on Hoth and Coruscant, for example, before flying off to battle TIE Fighters and Star Destroyers in space. Star Wars Battlefront 3 was to open with a prologue set on Tatooine before heading to Coruscant, Cato Nemoidia, Dantooine, Desolation Station, Yavin IV, Cloud City, Dathomir (from the Clone Wars cartoon), Mustafar, Kashyyyk, Hoth and Endor. That’s quite the collection of settings. Free Radical Design had been working on Star Wars Battlefront 3 for two years before LucasArts cancelled it in 2006. DICE is set to release its own take on Star Wars: Battlefront in November, though you won’t be able to jet off into space. Instead, all the action takes place either on the surface of a planet or in the skies just overhead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYE5dA5pE3w#action=share
