How would I go about cooling my Toughbook CF-30? They don't have fans and I have decided to use it for coolege. I might have to find a longer lasting battery but everything else is good. What do you guys usually do? Throw it in the cafe fridge or have it take part in the ice bucket challenge? Maybe spend a while outside in the snow? I might carry a battery backup so I can charge a few things here and there. (Too bad the CPU is soldered into the mobo... :fail: ) (This section is still super dead.)
You might want to get a cooler, like XpGlamcoolz mentioned, there are different types, the lap one ain't the best in quality i've had it myself. It's not bad, but the lifespan is not good. If i were you i would've investigated further on something with a good price and a great lifespan. Just remember that the fans uses the power from your PC.
Honestly I'd invest in a better computer if I was using it for school. Then on your free time test the quality of that toughbook. Maybe even make a YT video of how tough it really is. :dntknw:
Lol, I ain't gonna be playing Skyrim during a class so no reason to buy a $1000 piece of scrap metal. I got 2 other laptops but I don't game on a laptop. Maybe Terraria because of how simplistic it but that's about it. I might buy myself another battery instead of a cooling system though. Its about $70 and I can have dual battery's so my laptop can stay on for a day. (Even though it can stay on for about 11hours.)
The i am in college version of keeping your computer from over heating aka the method i used to use: Point a room fan at it
