Sony Drops PlayStation 4 Price to $350 With Bundled Game Sony's PlayStation 4 has been leading the next-generation console race from the start, and it's partly for that reason that while the Xbox One has gotten a price drop, the PS4 hasn't — until now. Sony announced on Thursday that it was lowering the base price of the PS4 from $400 to $350, including one of two games sure to be in demand this holiday season. Buyers can choose between the "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection," a remake of the classic "Uncharted" trilogy, or the highly anticipated multiplayer shooter "Star Wars Battlefront." For a bit more money there are limited editions and expanded storage — Sony outlines the options in the post. Some versions you may have to wait a month or more for. Microsoft made an effort this summer to boost sales with a price drop (also from $400 to $350), a revamped controller, and features to integrate the console with the newly released Windows 10. The PS4 and Xbox One have both done well since their releases in late 2013, but Sony's console has consistently outsold Microsoft's — though both are well behind previous generations of gaming machines and will be for years to come.
