Well when uploaded they should tell you if they are region specific i.e. Saints Row III & Saints Row III (German version) Otherwise you can assume that they are fine, not that this is a problem when you use these things you don't need a region specific console, you simply add the game & its full 1000(+)G without physically playing the game.
Both have their advantages...using exGPD's and converting them into GPD's allows you to add full games without having to physically purchase or touch said games...of course an unlocker allows you to add achievements here and there it comes down to personal preference
This programme and repository are absolutely great; indeed, I have a few 100%, legit-order, GPDs that I'd like to contribute too. I also have a quick question that I hope someone can help me with. I played the game BioShock a while ago, but only briefly; out of the 50 achievements the game has for example, I only unlocked 10. As a result, I obviously want to download the exGPD for the game (as I like to use exProfile to unlock only one or two achievements). However, how do I replace the existing GPD for the BioShock game that is already on my profile? What are the steps after I download the exGDP for the BioShock game? Many thanks for any help
By all means contribute, just be sure to check if games that you may have 100% aren't already up...we have had an issue before where somehow games got through and were uploaded twice, not that is of any real consequence its just preferred so that anyone downloading exGPD's isn't confused by having to make the decision of the red pill or the blue pill... As for your question about Bioshock, that is a good question and one that im not too sure about...it is to my knowledge once a game has at least one achievement unlocked in it you cannot remove it...at least not in the sense that you mean...I could be wrong however...my question to you however is why haven't you finished Bioshock in the first place?! It is a fantastic game and you would be doing yourself no favors by not finishing it, I would then use exPE to mop up any nuisance achievements at the end. In terms of the steps after downloading a exGPD to a game you have never touched before...the steps on how to add the exGPDs to your profile can be found on the first page of this thread, they are informative, precise & there is also great promise of bacon!
Ok so I'm having some troubles trying to figure out injecting .gpds... I extract all of my account contents (.gdps and such) via horizon, then open my account via that folder with exprofileeditor and select which single .gdp I want to make. I can make the .gdp fine but when it goes into my profile it shows up as 0 and the program hangs and I have to close my profile and reopen it. I tried quite a few things and the anonimize just causes it to go to 0. If anyone could help me with this and/or creating an all in one .gdp file that I could inject all my games at once that'd be great. I am relatively new to this but trying to learn as quickly as possible. Thanks a lot!
Many thanks for the reply Artificial. 1). I absolutely will double-check and see if any GPDs are already uploaded for the games I want to upload; if there aren't any, I'll proceed to upload the GPDs and help contribute to honestly, a great source/repository 2). BioShock was indeed a great game, and I got most of the achievements on another account of mine (and indeed completed the story-mode twice through). However, on my new account (i.e. my current gamer-tag), I only had the patience to get about half-way through the game unfortunately, and hence the 10 achievements I have for it. Would you therefore suggest that I simply use exProfile to unlock all of the remaining 40 or so achievements (all of them are offline-play achievements)? My worry with unlocking all 40 achievements at the same time however, is will they unlock in legit-order (if I simply select all of the achievements I haven't got and click unlock), and will they have the same time-stamp? In particular, my worry is that I'll just have 40 achievements with the same time-stamp, which is of course a big give away to MS.
Just to be sure are you trying to download exGPD's from the archive & then add them your account or are you trying to create exGPD's so you can upload them to the archive? Regardless the tutorials on page 1 of the thread should be able to help. Double checking is all we can ask, just as a courtesy to the people that have already gone to the effort and hard work of bringing us the wonderful exGPDs in the archive. I had figured that you must have played it on a previous account, it is the only logical explanation for getting only halfway through the game! Yeah I would suggest just using exPE to add the remaining achievements, the full 1100G can be obtained offline so simply just unlock them offline that way there is no timestamp involved...for someone that has played the game before it is possible to legitimitely finish it 100% within a few days with the assistance of a audio log/plasmid guide. I would recommend if you do this not to sign into XBL for at least a couple days just to be safe. As you are no doubt aware exPE when unlocking achievements it will not put them in order for you, that will have to be done by yourself. Given the achievements are fairly miscellaneous they can be unlocked in many different types of ways. If you want the order to look legit (if you are unsure of how it should roughly look) you can head over to an achievement tracking website and look at the order the majority of the gamers unlocked them. It may be a little tedious but if thousand of other gamers unlocked it the same way then its virtually impossible to be accused of wrong doing...As I said above unlock them all offline, in a correct order, stay off XBL for 2-3 days( assuming you havent already been offline for a period of this or longer) to sneak under the radar. Should you have anymore questions or require anymore assistance please dont hesistate!
Thanks so much for your detailed reply, and the great tip on going to achievement tracking sites and seeing the unlock-orders of other players - I was up until now, looking at each individual achievement, looking at a game-guide and then unlocking them in order (a very tedious and time-consuming process!). Being able to see the legit-order from users/players who have already 100% the game, makes the entire thing so much easier and less time consuming Also, regarding your advice on not signing into Live, I tend to go over-board with safety. Before uploading the exGPD to my profile, I made sure to play the game (or rather start the game), so that it appears in my recently played games list. And then, as you said, I've yet to go online; the last time I signed in to Live was Thursday, so I'm thinking of waiting until Sunday before I go back online with the 100% for the game - 3 days as you said, seems like a reasonable amount of time to be able to get the achievements legit. I just have one last question if you don't mind, and it relates to the GTA V exGPD currently uploaded to the repository. When you load/open the exGPD in exProfileEditor, none of the achievements have any images. Is it still safe to upload the exGPD to my profile, or is there something wrong with the exGPD itself? Thanks so much again for your time and help!
Not a problem mate it was a useful tip as I utilize it myself if im not adding full exGPD's! Going overboard is far better than being over confident and paying the price for it when an account youve put work into is reset completely...I've known of many people getting in excess of 300,000G then turning to modding & then all the initial hard work goes down the drain due to greediness! I have not looked into the GTA V exGPD purely cause I have not enjoyed GTA since San Andreas...I have played GTA V(it wasnt too bad, but I am not a fan of hyper-realism) at a friends but not looked at the achievement list for it...The exGPD's are supposed to have the images before being uploaded but some games dont have the tiles added at time of release on exPE...What you can do is simply download the images for the achievements assuming that function is still available on the program. Otherwise XBL will actually download them for you! I would suggest if you plan to add GTA V stay offline a considerable time( sign in to XBL each day for a couple minutes maybe?) due to the online component achievement wise. No way is it possible to complete GTA V in a few days probably not even a fortnight without coordinated boosting, even then luck would not doubt play a vital role too... I hope that this has helped and allowed you to make a logical decision! Too many deciding factors to be honest...How much you intend to add, what you intend to add (online cheevos play a major role here), your online presence (how often & long you are online), how quick you can normally finish a game, how long a game has been out, a games difficulty....the list goes on...basically if done sensibly you can be quite safe but like game saves and all the other wonderful tools at our disposal there is always going to be a risk...I know this isn't really the answer you were after but to give a percentage is pretty well impossible and would make one liable!
That's fair enough Well, I was basically either going to create a new account and add simple games like Kung Fu Panda, Avatar TBE and AC II. If I done it offline, then created the online part of the profile. It seems a lot safer. If I add them to my main profile, I guess I'd only add super duper easy games that you can 1000G in less than 10 Hours.
Whatever works for you man, I don't see the point in making a new account unless your current one is cactus (f*cked)...anything that is completable offline can be used on your main profile its just best to take the appropriate time offline when adding games.
It does appear to be down...Its happened a few times before and only been fatal once! Give it a day or so
