Resident Evil: Revelations 2 officially announced for 'Early 2015' Horror sequel to feature new setting and protagonists Capcom has officially announced Resident Evil: Revelations 2, which will be released in Japan in early 2015. The publisher made the announcement during a pre-TGS PlayStation press conference, in which it confirmed the horror sequel will feature a completely new setting and new protagonists, reports Siliconera. New information on Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be announced next week, Capcom said. In August a box art image and screenshot for 'Biohazard Revelations 2' (Biohazard is the alternative name for Resident Evil games in Japan) appeared on the official Xbox.com website. Another leak on a Russian retail website suggested PS3, PS4, 360 and Xbox One as platforms. The original Resident Evil: Revelations was originally released for Nintendo 3DS in early 2012, serving as a return to the survival horror roots of the series following the much maligned action oriented approach of the latter main-series titles. The game was later enhanced for releases on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC in May 2013. Source: CVG
