A sequel to the 2010 western epic has long been rumoured to be in the works, with the team behind Grand Theft Auto apparently turning it into a reality over the last four years. And reports now claim that Rockstar are planning to release Red Dead Redemption 2 late in 2016, with October said to be the target. The game is said to have been in development for four years It is also believed that the sequel could feature an open-world online multiplayer mode similar to GTA 5 Online. Rockstar are said to be searching for an experienced Network Programmer who 'specialises in a wide range of gameplay mechanics found in a Rockstar open world game'. On top of this, the programmer must also be 'responsible for the integration of dynamic multiplayer into all areas of gameplay in complex open-world environments'. GTA-esque online multiplayer in the world of Red Dead Redemption would certainly be a welcome addition to the franchise – let's just hope these reports are correct.
